We started EtchShield after seeing too many beautiful marble kitchens etched within weeks of install. Our job is simple: keep your stone looking the way it did on day one.
Why a surface barrier
Marble etching is not ordinary dirt that can be wiped away. Acid reacts with the stone itself, leaving a dull mark even on a recently sealed surface. A sealer can help limit absorption, but it does not stand between acid and the stone. EtchShield installs a clear film over the countertop surface.
What we protect
We work with marble, quartz and granite countertops across Metro Vancouver. Each material has different day-to-day concerns: acid on marble, visible marks on quartz, and scratches or oil on granite. Polished finishes can retain their glossy appearance under a virtually invisible film; matte film is available for honed finishes.
From quote to installation
Share the type of stone, the areas you want covered and a few photos. We provide a fixed quote before work begins. Most kitchens can be installed in a single visit of roughly three to six hours, and the counters can be used the same day.
