Marble

Marble protection film that stops etching

Marble etches the moment acid touches it. Our clear film sits on top of the stone, so lemon juice, wine and cleaners never reach the surface.

Why marble etches

The calcium carbonate in marble reacts with acids in common kitchen spills such as lemon juice, vinegar and wine. The result is a dull patch in the stone, not a stain sitting on top. A penetrating sealer may help slow some stains, but it cannot stop that surface reaction. Film provides a physical layer between the spill and the marble.

Keep the finish you chose

On polished marble, the film is designed to be virtually invisible so the veining remains the focus. For honed marble, a matte film option keeps the softer-looking finish. If you are unsure which finish you have, include a close-up photo with your request. Wipe up spills as usual and follow the film care guidance.

Where it can go

Islands, perimeter counters, bathroom vanities and tables can all be considered. Share photos of each area and rough dimensions so we can prepare a fixed quote. Most kitchen installations are completed in a single visit, and the film can be removed later without residue.
